I have to say that I was sceptical of starting a blog but wanted to share my designs and ideas with other budding (prosthetic/make-up) artists.
I am currently doing my GCSE's and have reached the final exam season.
This first piece is one of my final exam designs in which the theme is 'Order and/or Disorder'. This piece is a series of four photos where the vine grows from the ear across the face. This piece took me approximately four hours to create. It was a very detailed piece but I really enjoyed making and loved the finished results.
I used a photo studio with specialised lighting to get the right effect. The four photos are going to be displayed in succession in my portfolio along with to other pieces similar that I have done in the ten hour exam.
Tips: For any GCSE students who are doing their final art exams next year I would suggest that you give yourself plenty of time to develop your ideas and make sure you include practice pieces in which you have stated the time it took to create them in your sketchbook. People often lose marks in the exam with this.
I managed to get an A in my mock exam but I think not putting in timed pieces is what lost me the A*.
